Virtual Laboratory

Definitions

Virtual laboratory : Frequency and Impedance Measurement is a software where users especially the students can experience the real environment of the experiments and also can do or simulate their experiments without going to the laboratory. Users also can simulate The Frequency and Impedance Measurement experiments on their computers through the Internet from anywhere and anytime they like to.

 Reasons to implement virtual laboratory.

There were some reasons to implement virtual laboratory. As we can see, there were a lot of problems in the actual laboratory such as lack of equipments for the students, unreliable and unstable equipments and sometimes the equipments for the experiments also do not exist. So, the experiments cannot perform well. In addition, the cost of the equipments and the maintenance also expensive. Students cannot do the experiments in anytime they like to because lack of equipments for each of the students and also time where the laboratory is closed for the students after work time.

So, virtual laboratory is the best solutions to solve these problems where the equipments of this laboratory are more stable. So, users can get the accurate result for the experiments. Its also can save cost, time and energy where users especially students can do the experiments anytime and anywhere they like to, without going to the laboratory.

As a conclusion, virtual laboratory is an effective way for the students to do the experiments by using the new technology of communications and information technology. They also can increase their knowledge about the new technology.

Software Background

In implementing this ‘Virtual Laboratory of Frequency and Impedance Measurement’ experiments, some software can be used to implement it, but the suitable software needed to implement this Virtual Laboratory : Frequency and Impedance Measurement easily for the better result. So, in this project I'm  using some software such as JAVA, HTML programming, FrontPage,  Smith Chart program and others. JAVA programming is the main program to develop this Virtual Laboratory till the end.
