-
To
measure the frequency of the Gunn oscillator at different setting by
means of resonance frequency meter
-
To
determine the wavelength of the waveguide at known frequencies and to
demonstrate that the wavelength in the waveguide depends on the
waveguide dimensions and is not equal to the wavelength in air.
-
To
examine by measuring the voltage standing wave ratio, the inverse
standing were ratio and reflection coefficients
of voltage and power. Furthermore, the use of PIN diodes in
the microwave systems is to be demonstrated.
-
This
experiment also will include the matching of:
i. A terminating impedance
ii. The open line
iii. The strongly mismatched line with a mistuned sliding transformer
iv. An antenna
Is
to be measured.
-
To demonstrate matching in accordance
with amount and phase. Matching with the aid of
reactance
and line sections is to be demonstrated. In this experiment, Smith Chart
diagram
will be used for calculating the matching.
